Jericho after rain is a different animal. The same line that looked friendly at breakfast turns into a negotiation with roots, ruts, and gravity.

The lesson is not to stay clean. The lesson is to know which mud is funny and which mud requires a spotter, a strap, and a group decision nobody will remember accurately.

Bring dry gloves. Bring more patience than you think you need. And if somebody says “I can take it,” make sure the camera is ready.
